Purposes

 

The Specific purposes for which this corporation is organized include, but are not limited:

•  To provide a forum for Bessarabians of all ethnicities of the Republic of Moldova and all its lost territories (Hotin, Cernauti, Cetatea Alba, Transnistria, Reni, etc.) living in California.

•  To learn how to integrate into American society, to promote the integration of Bessarabian students into the university system in America, and to stimulate and unify the actions of all persons of Bessarabian ancestry within the lawful limit of their rights and duties as citizens and permanent residents, or visitors in America.

•  To organize social events aimed at preservation and promotion of Romanian Bessarabian culture, Language, Folk culture, Traditions, History, etc, and to develop a resource center to research and study how Bessarabia should be known abroad and, eventually, to help out the Bessarabian community in America.

•  To aid and support Eastern Orthodox Christian Churches, in the USA and Bessarabia, offering material help to communities to build churches, schools, and other educational institutions.

•  To identify the needs of the elderly and, in cooperation with other Christian organizations and humanitarian programs, help improve the quality of life for the elderly, at home or in nursing homes, low-income and disabled persons, sick and suffering in Bessarabia;

•  To provide a network to connect Bessarabians on the American Continent to promote youth education, students exchange, and sport activities for the youth of Bessarabian descent in USA and Bessarabia.

•  To furnish information to the American public about the Bessarabia's historic role, its aims, needs, right to independence, etc.
