He studied Computer Science starting with the High School in his hometown and continuing with Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj Napoca where he obtained his Master of Science degree in Computer Science in 1999. He continued to obtain professional certifications and awards during his career, as he attended training courses and passed certifications exams.
Paul started to work as a Software Engineer in the 3 rd year of university and had the chance to work for multinational companies in Romania. In the year 2001 he immigrated to United States of America where he specialized in developing software solutions for the video industry, especially broadcast, while working for some of the most prestigious companies in the industry: Pinnacle Systems, Leitch Technologies, Harris Corporation.
While continuing to activate in the video industry, in 2008 he started a transition towards post-production by joining a startup which activity was focused on reality shows and the film industry. This transition continued in 2009 by starting his own software consulting company and partnerships in two companies that currently offer various software solutions for film studios.
Paul was a member of the “Holy Cross” Romanian Orthodox Church in San Jose, CA from 2003 until 2005 when he moved to Los Angeles and he became a member of the “Holy Trinity” Church, as well as a Vice President of the parish council in 2008.
Paul joined Romanian organizations, attended cultural and religious events, visited different churches in various states in the United States, trying to be as close as possible to the culture, traditions and religion of his ancestors and to help keeping them alive. He joined RAPN 2 years before he even moved to Los Angeles, while still living in New Jersey, the “Holy Cross” or “Holy Trinity” churches on the same week when he arrived in San Jose or Los Angeles and attended many religious services and caroling in Atlanta, GA where he travelled especially during holidays to visit his relatives during the first years spent in the US.
